SIL-TRADE has been trading on the foreign (primarily) and domestic markets since 2000, The company focuses on specialized steel products, and the main element of the offer are high-quality ropes for underground shaft mining. In export, we offer highest quality ropes for shaft mines and for surface mining. In several countries we are authorized, exclusive sales representative of top international round steel-wire ropes makers and world-wide we offer our own, patented composite ropes for Koepe friction winders.
In the recent years, our own, patented product - ZEP-type flat steel-rubber balance/tail ropes for Koepe friction winding mining shaft are certainly the most dynamically developing direction of our activity. ZEP flat ropes work in deep mining shaft already on three continents. Our ropes, in comparison with conventional ropes, ensure several times longer (even up to 15 years), safe operation and significantly reduce mine’s operation costs.
We also offer a broad range of round steel-wire ropes, guide ropes and balance/tail ropes for shaft mining, as well as large diameter ropes for opencast mines (for excavators and draglines).
In majority of the countries no special certificates are required, however every country’s legal system is different also when it comes to mining. SIL-TRADE not only manufactures own ropes under strict stipulations of ISO 9001 and IS 14001 quality control systems, but also trades only ropes of world’s top-tier manufacturers (also with ISO 9001, 14001 plus OHSAS and Lloyd’s certifications).
Whenever local mining regulations require any special tests, certification, opinion or approval SIL-TRADE fully complies with local standards – we have never failed to pass any certification we have applied for. When in Poland Main Mining Office authority (WUG) admission was requires – ZEP ropes had them, when special safety certificate (OBAC) was required – our ropes had them, when Russian regulations required their energy control authority’s (RosTechNadzor) approval we had that too. We hold, among others, Russian GOST-R certification, CIS’s TR-TS certificate, Kazakhstan’s Committee’s approval… Whichever country you have your mining operations, we will make sure our ropes have all required documents.
Our ZEP-type flat steel-rubber balance/tail ropes work in deep mining shaft already on three continents. They performance is not hindered even by harsh conditions like those of salt mines or wet coal shafts’ corrosive conditions. ZEP ropes are successfully also operated in the conditions of methane- and coal-powder explosion threat.
We have manufactured and sold to-date almost 160 km and 1900 tons of ZEP-type ropes, lengths ranging from 380 m to 1480 m, with the heaviest single rope manufactured so far weight of 29 tons. In one the shafts ZEP rope made 1,8 Mio. hoist-cycles (skip) and the oldest ZEP rope (and still in service) has been performing fine in a coal mine for some 15 years.
Also manufacturers of the round, steel-wire ropes we trade hold several world records.
Our customers (the end-users) include two of the world’s largest potash mining groups, the largest coking-coal producer in the EU, largest Russian Zinc and Copper mining group, second largest Russian coal mine, just to mention the few.
In 2017 we have participated in a scientific symposium ‘Mining and geology today’ in Belgrade, Serbia and have been exhibiting our products in Almaty, Kazakhstan and in Teheran, Iran.
In the first half of 2018 we have shown our ropes in Hanoi, Vietnam (during Mining Vietnam 2018 fairs) adn in Novokuznetsk, Russia (at the fairs Ugol Rossii & Mining 2018)
